LISBON – Community Action Agency’s HEAP Summer Crisis Program (SCP) runs July 1 through Sept. 30. Appointments for the HEAP Summer Crisis may be made by calling the automated phone service at 330-892-8880. The Summer Crisis Program assists low-income households with an older household member (60 years or older) or households that can provide medical documentation that cooling assistance is needed for a household member’s health. East Palestine School District to seek continuous earned income tax in November

EAST PALESTINE — The East Palestine School District is asking voters to approve a new 1 percent continuous earned income tax levy this November. The board of education passed a resolution during this month’s regular meeting to place the levy on the general election ballot. East Palestine police investigating drive-by shooting on West Martin Street

EAST PALESTINE — Village police are investigating a drive-by shooting that occurred early Sunday on West Martin Street. Lt. Don Johnson released a statement via social media Sunday morning stating that the shooting occurred in the 800 block of West Martin Street and it is believed it was a targeted incident and there is currently no threat to the public.
