WINONA — The Winona Ruritan Club held its May meeting May 26 at the Winona Friends Church. President Rob Doyle Jr. called the meeting to order at 7 p.m. and led the group in singing “America.” Homer Althouse gave an update of his wife’s Marilyn recent hospital stay and reported that she is at home and doing well. Revamped county park board begins reorganization

LISBON — The new Columbiana County Park District Board set new meeting dates, hired a new maintenance worker, elected a new chairman and vice chairman, discussed finances and agreed to request a legal opinion related to a board member also serving on Friends of the Park. Tom Butch was elected chairman and Eileen Dray-Bardon was elected vice chairman after new member Linda Linebaugh suggested the people with experience should be the officers.
