Area residents reminded of e-waster drop off in Lisbon Saturday

LISBON — Area residents are being reminded about the e-waste drop off event happening from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday in the parking lot of the Columbiana County Courthouse at the corner of South Beaver Street and West Washington Street. Electrical panel arrives for East Palestine pool, opening date still to be determined

EAST PALESTINE — The long-awaited electrical panel for the public pool at Village Park has arrived, but an opening date is still to be determined as the village works to have the pool operational. Village Manager Antonio Diaz-Guy provided an update on the work during the Monday council meeting. He said that the electrical panel is being installed and the next step is for the pool surface to be plastered and filled. St. Clair Township opts out of state salt contract

CALCUTTA — St. Clair Township is opting out of the state salt contract. Trustee James Sabatini II, Fiscal Officer Deborah Dawson and Road Foreman Dave Smith Monday discussed their review of the township’s road salt inventory, cost increase of salt and the budget. Following the discussion, they determined the township will opt of the State Road Salt Contract for 2026-2027, having enough salt in inventory to carry through the upcoming winter season.
