East Liverpool mayor tells council about preparations for monument unveiling

EAST LIVERPOOL — Mayor Bobby Smith told the East Liverpool City Council during Monday’s council meeting that it was going to be a busy week in the city, with the setting and unveiling of the Revolutionary War Monument at the corner of Sixth and Washington streets. Smith mentioned that a lot of community effort went into the monument which was paid for by donations from community partners like the Eagles and Elks for items such as the flagpoles around the monument. Big crowd expected Sunday for Big Boy in Struthers
