PERRY TOWNSHIP — Multiple fire departments responded to a fire at a Perry Township residence Thursday.
According to the Salem Fire Department’s report, the Salem department responded to a structure fire at 419 Benton Road at 12:50 p.m. Thursday to provide automatic aid to the Perry Township Volunteer Fire Department. Due to a lack of available personnel from Perry Township, the Salem Fire Department served as the primary responding agency with automatic aid received from the Perry Township, Green Township, Winona, and Damascus fire departments.

LISBON — “The Columbiana County Park District” is the new official Facebook page for the county park district after several social media address changes the past several months.
District commissioner Neal Bayless, who’s been working on the district’s social media presence since joining the board last month, suggested the new name and the rest of the board agreed.

LISBON — A lawsuit filed by Diamondback Dumpsters against the city of East Liverpool and a counterclaim filed against the refuse company by the city have been dismissed.
According to a Columbiana County Common Pleas Court entry filed recently, attorneys indicated as of May 15 that a resolution of the case had been reached, but had not filed an agreed entry of judgment or dismissal as was requested.
As a result, Common Pleas Court Judge Scott Washam dismissed the case.
