WELLSVILLE — The Wellsville Area Ministerial Association once again hosted its annual Good Friday Cross Walk down Main Street.
This year the Cross Walk, which took place at noon, began at the intersections of Fifth and Main streets where participants with a police escort in front and behind them proceeded to walk down Main Street to the Lee-Sheridan AME Church, 1325 Center St. where the participants congregated for a Good Friday message from Pastor Jerry Cuningham.
According to Larry Wolf of the Elevate Church and member of the Wellsville Ministerial Association, the association began holding the Cross Walk about nine or 10 years ago to represent Christ on the cross on Good Friday.
