Columbiana Planning Commission member resigns
Action resolves conflict with school board meetings
COLUMBIANA — This week was the final meeting for Dylan Fletcher, who stepped down as a member of Planning Commission at the conclusion of the agenda items.
Fletcher, who was elected in November to Columbiana school board, had struggled, trying to meet the attendance requirements associated with his Planning Commission appointment as it conflicts with the monthly regularly school board meetings generally held within an hour of each other.
Attempts to move the Planning Commission meetings to avoid the conflict failed to garner support.
Fletcher’s last agenda included a replat for KDC Properties, LLC of Lots 1, 2 and 3; two minor subdivision lot splits for Firestone Homestead LLC of parcels 18-03499.009 and 18-03499.10 plus a third lot split for Lakefront Preserve LLC 18-03499.011.
Site plan reviews also were approved for Moosally Medical at 101 East Park Avenue and Kibbe Consulting LLC at 1 North Main Street, Apt. 1.
Kelly Whalen also had been on the agenda for a site plan review for Kelly’s Deli at 31 East Park Ave.; however, she was unable to appear Tuesday, so members tabled her site plan review until she can attend.
All members were present except Scott Jones.
No information was available at press time regarding the Planning Commission opening and the application procedure.
