Akron Children’s Mobile Care Unit to visit East Liverpool Schools
EAST LIVERPOOL – East Liverpool City Schools is partnering with Akron Children’s Hospital to bring the Akron Children’s Mobile Care Unit to the district in April, providing convenient, high-quality pediatric healthcare services directly to students and families.
The Mobile Care Unit will visit multiple school locations over two days:
– Wednesday, April 1: North Elementary School & East Liverpool Jr./Sr. High School from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
– Thursday, April 2: LaCroft Elementary School from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Akron Children’s Mobile Care Unit is designed to increase access to essential healthcare services for children and adolescents in the community. Services offered include:
– Well-child visits
– Immunizations
– Non-emergent acute illness care
– Developmental screenings
– Adolescent health care
– Asthma care, including inhaler and spacer education
– Lead and hemoglobin screenings
– Referrals for specialty care
