East Liverpool building permits

EAST LIVERPOOL — The City of East Liverpool’s Planning and Zoning department would like to remind area contractors – as well as residents – of the city’s building permit process.

Moving forward, this process will be strictly enforced to ensure projects within city limits are properly executed and meet zoning and building criteria.

Zoning certificates are required for a number of situations. Residents are encouraged to call the office at 330-385-5394 or stop in at 126 W. Sixth St. for any questions.

Building permits are required for the following: all new construction, alterations, demolitions and wrecking. Exceptions to building permits include the following: general maintenance to surface siding, roof surface replacement, windows, painting, and maintenance not involving physical change to the structure.
