Lepper storytimes

The Lepper Library in Lisbon is offering weekly storytimes for children. Moving and Grooving is offered at 10 a.m. geared toward babies and toddlers. Come sing songs, listen to a story, and play. Older siblings are welcome to join in also. Preschool Story Hour is offered at 11 a.m. with songs, stories and crafts geared toward children ages 3 to 5, but younger and older siblings are welcome. Moving and Grooving Preschool Storytime are made possible in part by state tax dollars given by the Ohio Legislature to the Ohio Arts Council (OAC). The OAC is a state agency that funds and supports quality arts experiences to strengthen Ohio communities culturally, educationally, and economically.

Rodman app update

Rodman Public Library’s app has been updated. To ensure patrons are using the latest version, they may want to uninstall the old version from their devices and reinstall the updated version from Google Play or the App Store. The Rodman Library app can be found by searching for “Rodman Public Library” wherever apps are available. Users will have to relink their library card account to the app in order to place holds on materials and see other account information, such as how many items they have checked out, how many are overdue, and if they have incurred any fines. The latest version of the app also makes it easy for patrons to view the library’s calendar of events and register for programs. SHS ’76 gathering

Salem High School Class of 1976 members will be holding a meeting on Saturday, Jan. 24, at 9:30 a.m. at the Salem High School Alumni Association office in downtown Salem. All class members interested in helping make decisions for the 50th reunion to be held the second weekend in August during SHS Alumni Weekend are invited to attend and enter the discussion. Light breakfast refreshments will be provided. Classmates are also asked to join and “Like” the Facebook page, “Class of 1976 Salem Quakers”, and keep in touch with the Salem High School Alumni Association by accessing the organization’s website at www.salemohioalumni.org.

Sebring BOE meeting

The Sebring school board will hold a special board meeting at 6 p.m. Jan. 26 in the McKinley Jr./Sr. High auditorium. The purpose of the meeting is to hold an executive session to consider the employment of a public employee or official.
