District Manager Al DeAngelis told the board in his report that the BWD has repaired and replaced a discharged pump, has received all the necessary permitting for the dredging of the Wellsville Marina, has submitted the Environmental Assessment Report to the Ohio Office of Surface Mining and Reclamation for their review, which once completed will give the BWD the necessary permits for the Beaver Creek Waterline Extension project, and has submitted to Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (OEPA) a standard operating procedure for hydrant flushing and valve exercising for their review.
DeAngelis also said that customers will receive notices on information for lead service lines with their bills during the next billing cycle.
The BWD distribution crew has fixed two leaks and installed two taps.
Board members approved the minutes from the Dec. 18 meeting, the treasurer’s report, operations report and district manager’s report as presented to them.
There was no one for public speaking, no old or new business, no bid openings, or project reports.
