Flu vaccination clinic announced
LISBON — The Columbiana County Health District announced Friday that the annual drive-thru flu vaccination clinic will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 22 at the vaccination complex at the county fairgrounds, Lee Avenue, Lisbon.
Both high-dose flu vaccines for individuals 65 years and older and regular-dose vaccines (Flulaval or Fluzone) will be offered, with vaccines available to adults 18 years of age and older.
To register, call 234-320-5936 to schedule an appointment. Registration opens at 8:30 a.m. Oct. 14 and closes at 3:30 p.m. Oct. 21, with phone line hours from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Callers are asked to have their insurance information ready when calling.
Most major insurance plans are accepted and uninsured individuals are welcome. Cash or check is accepted for self-pay. For checks, the name on the account must match the photo ID of the person paying.
Use the main entrance to the fairgrounds at 225 Lee Avenue. Signs will be posted and staff will direct vehicles to the vaccination complex, which is located in the northwest corner of the fairgrounds.
Anyone interested in receiving other vaccines, such as COVID-19, shingles, RSV, TDAP or pneumococcal can call the health district office at 330-424-0272 to schedule an in-office appointment.
