The Historical Society of Columbiana & Fairfield Township will host its Fall Quarterly Meeting and Program at 7 p.m. Oct. 20 at the First Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall in Columbiana. Speaker will be David Humphrey of the Winona Historical Society presenting a slide presentation of “Tragedy to Triumph, 100 years of Airships.” Sept. 3, 2025 marked the 100th anniversary of the crash of the USS Shenandoah. The society will have a brief meeting before the program to elect four members to the board of trustees. Bob Belding, Monica Detwiler, Vaughn Musser, and Richard Scullin are willing to serve. The public is invited and families with young children interested in zeppelins, airships, blimps are encouraged to attend. (Submitted photo)
