Westfield, Holloway Insurance team-up to donate over $4K to Columbiana Project Playground
COLUMBIANA – Westfield has teamed up with Holloway Insurance Inc. to donate $4,500 to Columbiana Project Playground as part of Westfield’s Legacy of Caring program. Each year, Westfield’s top independent insurance agents are invited to nominate a local nonprofit in their community to receive a donation. Donations are made to dozens of nonprofits in cities across Westfield’s national footprint.
The Westfield Insurance Foundation, an independent private foundation endowed by Westfield, awards the donations to support their top agents’ local communities. Since 2015, the Legacy of Caring program has supported nonprofits focused on helping families or businesses stabilize or recover from disasters – mirroring what the insurance industry does every day for their customers.
“As Westfield enters our 177th year, we achieved this longevity by generations of employees and agents working together, committed to preserving and propelling our communities forward.” said Ed Largent, Westfield president, CEO, board chair and Westfield Insurance Foundation chairman. “Westfield continues to build on the strong commitment of caring that the founders of our company imagined. It’s a great feeling to link arms with our agents and make an impact.”
“The team at Holloway Insurance is always seeking opportunities to volunteer and support our community,” said Sean Holloway, president. “We are proud and thankful for our collaboration with Westfield, which helps our agency make a more powerful impact on the communities where we live and work.”
“We are incredibly thankful to Westfield and Holloway Insurance for their belief in our mission,” said Michaela Good, president of the Columbiana Project Playground. “Support from partners like Holloway Insurance and Westfield is what will turn our vision into reality and brings us closer to building a space where every child belongs.”
The Columbiana Project Playground has gained strong momentum since its inception, fueled by dedicated volunteers, generous donors, and local organizations who are passionate about inclusive play. The project reimagines the original Funland, which was built by community volunteers in 1995 and has served as a beloved gathering place for decades. With the passage of time, however, the existing structure has aged, highlighting the need for a modern, inclusive update.
This new playground will reflect the spirit of its predecessor while incorporating current safety standards, accessibility features, and thoughtful design to serve future generations.
