YOUNGSTOWN – WKBN-TV 27 has added Annie Giovannucci to Storm Team 27. Giovannucci comes to us from Toledo and is excited to become a permanent part of the Valley’s most-watched morning newscasts. She graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in Atmospheric Science.

Giovannucci will help get Valley viewers ready for their day. She’ll be updating the forecast during First news This Morning, weekdays from 5 to 7 a.m. on WKBN, and from 7 to 9 a.m. on WYFX Fox Youngstown, and at noon on WKBN.

“We are excited to add Annie Giovannucci to Storm Team 27 and our morning and noon team. I think our viewers will see her enthusiasm for meteorology as she helps tell the weather story each day.” said Jason Vinkler, WKBN-TV news director.

Giovannucci looks forward to getting to know this community and exploring this new area in Ohio while also staying close to home.

“Weather has been a passion of mine ever since I was a little girl, and TV meteorologists were celebrities to me. It is truly a privilege and gift to fulfill that dream of becoming one,” Giovannucci stated. “It is my hope and goal to inspire a love and fascination for science and our atmosphere with our viewers.”
