Horne named CCCTC Student of the Month

LISBON – Lucas Horne is the Columbiana County Career and Technical Center’s May Student of the Month. The sone of Mike and Amy Horne, he is a senior from Columbiana High School and is enrolled in the Automotive Collision Repair program under the instruction of Rick DeSalvo.
Lucas is a member the National Technical Honor Society and SkillsUSA. He works as a dimensional inspector at Brilex Industries.
Upon graduation, Lucas intends to enter the workforce full time. His goals are to continue learning and acquiring knowledge in order to have an opportunity for future promotions.
Lucas stated, “I chose the CCCTC because it was the place I felt that I could learn the skills I need for the future I want.”
Lucas was nominated by DeSalvo, who stated, “Lucas is a wonderful student for the auto collision repair program. He is very hard working and always does his best on anything that he is doing. Lucas is very coachable and always wants to learn. He is part of the work-based learning program and is employed at Brilex Industries. He is an outstanding student in the classroom and in the shop. With his busy schedule, he has maintained good grades. Lucas is a great example for all students. He treats everyone with respect. I am glad to have Lucas Horne in the auto collision repair program.”
