CCCTC graduates LPN-RN Bridge students

LISBON – On April 11, at Columbiana County Career & Technical Center, the Adult Education Department graduated 43 LPN-RN Bridge students who will now be eligible to take their registered nursing state boards. The 43 completed a one-year program which brings them from a licensed practical nurse to their eligibility as a registered nurse.

Awards were earned by Paris Blankenship and Renee VanDyke for their Academic Excellence. Both students achieved a 4.0 GPA in their program. A Florence Nightingale Award was presented to Jaymie Martin for her exceptional caring and nursing ethics in class and clinical. A Professionalism Award was presented to Kandis Patterson for her excellence in patient care.

The diplomas were presented by CCCTC Superintendent Willard Adkins and Assistant Adult Education Director, Terry Hutson. A graduation address was given by Adult Education Director Dr. Kelly Darney entitled “Unintended Consequences.”
