SHS Spring Musical ‘Grease’ opens Friday

SALEM — Salem High School’s Spring Musical, “Grease,” opens Friday and runs through Sunday. Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday in the auditorium. Tickets can be purchased by going to https://salemquakers.k12.oh.us/box-office/ or scan a QR Code on any poster. Tickets may also be purchased at the door.
The principal cast includes Will Madison as Danny, Rachel Fowler as Sandy, Ilani Jones-Wallace as Rizzo, Annika Murray as Frenchy, Lainey Haas as Marty, Lana Tonkinson as Jan, Isaac Godfrey as Kenickie, Logan Bricker as Doody, Keegan Mayhew as Roger, Ricky Short as Sonny, Mallory Hudson as Patty, Emma Hammers as Cha-Cha, Camron Bodine as Eugene, Kisha Leland as Miss Lynch, Ethan Rudibaugh as Johnny Casino, Mat Berverly as Vince Fontaine, and Luke Davis as Teen Angel.
Featured musical numbers will include some from the movie, “Grease,” such as “Summer Nights,” “Better Shape Up,” “Look at Me I’m Sandra Dee” and “There are Worse Things I Could Do.” Featured musical numbers that are unique to the play version of Grease such as “Freddy, My Love,” “Mooning,” “Those Magic Changes” and “Rock N’ Roll Party Queen” will also be included. Musical and stage directed by Attila Samu and assisted by Lorina Moffett. Choreographer is senior Emma Hammers.
