Myers

COLUMBUS – The Ohio Pharmacists Association (OPA) recently announced that Courtney Myers, PharmD, BCGP of Berlin Center, is a 2024 recipient of an UNDER 40 Award in recognition of her leadership, excellence, and vision in the practice of pharmacy. This award was presented at the OPA 146th Annual Conference held April 5-7, in Columbus.

A graduate of Ohio Northern University (ONU), Myers currently serves as a geriatric consultant pharmacist at Absolute Pharmacy Inc. based out of North Canton. Myers is also credentialed as a Board-Certified Geriatric Pharmacist (BCGP) and is the owner of Complete Care Consult where she helps patients work toward medication optimization. She is being recognized for her contributions as an OPA Board of Trustee District fourteen representative and advocate for consultant pharmacists.

Myers demonstrates her commitment by providing insight for development of OPA organization goals and lecturing students at ONU. She serves patients in intermediate care, assisted living, skilled nursing and long-term care settings by performing medication reviews, personalized medicine and disease state management.

At the OPA 146th Annual Conference, Myers provided an educational opportunity for pharmacists on deprescribing, a patient-centered strategy for safe medication reduction.

“We are pleased to recognize Courtney Myers who has exemplified leadership, excellence, and vision in her practice. She is a valued member of the Association, and we look forward to her future contributions to the profession of pharmacy,” said Dave Burke, OPA executive director.

OPA, established in 1879, represents more than 4,000 pharmacists, pharmacy educators, and pharmacy students throughout the state. It is OPA’s mission to invest in and empower Ohio pharmacists in every setting as the medication expert.
