Eyes on Wellsville plans return of Haunted Trail

WELLSVILLE — Eyes on Wellsville plans for the Haunted Trail to return on to Hammond Park Oct. 21.

The mini-eyes, which is for children who are afraid to do the trail after dark, is scheduled to take place from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Children participating in the mini-eyes will receive a bag of candy and have the opportunity to paint a pumpkin.

The Haunted Trail will be open from 6:30 to 10 p.m.

There will be concessions stands open for the mini-eyes and the Haunted Trail.

The cost of admission for the event is a monetary or toy donation which will go toward the Eyes on Wellsville Toy Drive.

The Haunted Trail is the kickoff event for the toy drive, which plans to provide Wellsville children in need with two presents for Christmas.

Kari Daniels, Eyes on Wellsville president, said the event is still in need of volunteers.

After some concerns over the event needing insurance instead of waivers, which has been used in the past, Daniels confirmed there is insurance coverage for the event and it will take place as planned.

The organization is doing some fundraising to pay for the insurance, according to Daniels.

Starting at $2.99/week.
