Visiting Angels receives Top 100 Leader in Experience Award

SALEM – As Visiting Angels Salem prepares to celebrate 20 years of serving the people of Columbiana, Mahoning and eastern Stark counties, the locally-owned agency is announcing that it has again received the distinguished Best of Home Care -Top 100 Leader in Experience Award from HCP, the leading firm in experience management for home care. The Top 100 Leader in Experience Award is the highest recognition awarded by HCP and is only awarded to 100 home care businesses in North America. Recipients must consistently rank among the very highest in 10 or more quality metrics.

As a Top 100 Leader in Experience Award recipient, Visiting Angels Salem is recognized among the very best home care providers participating in the nationwide HCP Experience Management Program. This is the second consecutive year that Visiting Angels Salem has received the Top 100 Leader in Experience Award. The local franchise placed seventh on the list of top 100 agencies across the United States and Canada in 2023, after ranking 12th on the list last year.

Mark Frenger, who owns the Salem franchise with his sister Susan, credited Susan as Director and their sister-in-law Connie Frenger, who manages the Visiting Angels office on East Pidgeon Road in Salem, for setting the high standards which led to Visiting Angels receiving the HCP recognition. “This award is a testimony to the dedication and compassion my sister and sister-in-law have put into this service over the past 20 years,” he said. “Beginning in 2003, they have consistently served the needs of both our caregivers and care recipients. Our office has always taken pride in providing for the needs of both our employees and clients.”

The accomplishment demonstrates Visiting Angels’ long-term dedication to excellent care and quality improvement. To qualify for this award, 10% of Visiting Angels’ clients and employees were interviewed each month by HCP. Over a 12-month period, Visiting Angels received high client and caregiver satisfaction ratings in areas such as caregiver training, compassion of caregivers, communication, scheduling, client/caregiver compatibility, and more. Using feedback from clients and employees, as well as quality benchmarks from HCP, the Visiting Angels management team set goals to reach the highest level of Experience possible.
