LISBON — Former president Donald Trump’s campaign could be eyeing Columbiana County for a rally at the end of this month.

According to news partner WKBN TV, Trump’s campaign was trying to organize a local campaign stop at the Canfield Fairgrounds, but a spot was not available. A member of the Canfield Fair Board confirmed that Trump’s campaign reached out to them about holding an event during the weekend of April 22-24. A spot wasn’t available, however, as several events are already booked that weekend, including the annual Angels for Animals yard sale.

Trump’s campaign also reportedly tried to host a rally at the Portage County Fairgrounds but was turned down.

WKBN reached out to officials in Columbiana County who said that they have not been contacted by Trump and that the County Fair Board will address the issue if they are contacted by the campaign.
