People can meet the animals at Forever Safe

Forever Safe Farms — located at 3155 McCracken Road just west of Route 45 south of Salem — will have opening day tours from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Admission is free when you donate items such as apples, carrots, cheerios, paper towels, scoopable cat litter and muck buckets. To find a full list of wish list items go to Facebook.com/ForeverSafeFarm. Animal treat baskets will be available for purchase and there also will be human treats like pizza, popcorn and drinks. People can kiss a camel, watch for wallabies and love the llamas while tour guides help you learn about the farm’s animals and mission. Forever Safe Farm Animal Education Center, Inc. is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit animal sanctuary that provides over 100 rescued and retired animals with a safe and comfortable forever home while educating children and the public about appropriate and healthful care of animals.
