HIV sex suspect faces charges in Trumbull

Lisa Mutter

LISBON — Lisa A. Mutter, who continues to await her trial in Columbiana County for allegedly failing to disclose her diagnosis as HIV positive to a sexual partner, was back in court on Tuesday, this time in Girard Municipal Court.

Similar to the case here, Mutter, 41, is being charged with felonious assault for failing to inform a sexual partner of her condition, which is a felony charge. Court records in Girard show the charge was filed by a Hubbard police sergeant, one of several municipalities which utilize the Girard court for their cases.

Tuesday’s hearing was Mutter’s initial court appearance on the charge in Trumbull County, the Journal’s new partner, WKBN First News, reported.

In county Common Pleas Court, Mutter is scheduled for a jury trial before Judge Scott Washam in April, after the trial was rescheduled earlier this month. A motion has been filed by her defense attorney, Colleen Hall Dailey, to have the charge dismissed in this court. Washam has yet to rule on that motion.

Mutter’s address on court records here is Benton Road, Salem, while the address where she is listed in the other case is Pulaski, Pa.
