West Branch seniors recognized at banquet

ALLIANCE-The 26th annual West Branch High School Senior Academic Recognition Banquet was held May 10. Honored were 14 students who are in the top 10 percent of the class, along with educators selected by the seniors as those who most significantly influenced their educational career.

Brian Coffee, principal along with assistant principal John Ault, recognized the students.

Judge Carol Ann Robb of the 7th District Court of Appeals was guest speaker.

The 14 students, honored and their selected teacher, were:

– Brandon Baum and engineering teacher, Rodger Sharp.

– Haley Davis and honors algebra 2 and calculus 1 & 2 teacher, Wendy Lough.

– Kaylie Day and American government, geography and global issues teacher Shane Blommel.

– Matthew Heffinger and honors geometry and honors advanced math teacher Gina Solak.

– Brianna Long and English 11 honors and creative writing teacher Nathan Heddleston.

– Dani Lough and web design teacher and yearbook adviser Christy Biery.

– Robert Parsons III and French I and III teacher Barbara Sulka.

– Julie Phillis and fourth-grade teacher Susan Dattilio.

– Hannah Schultheis and biology and chemistry teacher Tara Robb.

– Lauren Stitle and middle school band teacher, Bryan Stehura.

– Victoria Stratton and middle school and high school Excel teacher Susan Hartzell.

– Taylor Vence and high school art teacher Steven Mountz.

– Megan Winters and seventh-grade language arts teacher Libbie Romigh.

– Zachary Wyatt and U.S. history and psychology teacher Tracy Wyatt.
