LISBON — A Toronto man accused of assaulting another man in Yellow Creek Township after illegally entering the residence was one of 18 defendants openly indicted by the Columbiana County Grand Jury. The grand jury met for two days this week examining 52 witnesses covering 49 cases, then issuing 18 open indictments, 28 secret indictments and three no bills on Wednesday. John Bartos, 41, Youngstown, had a motion for early release filed by his attorney and also submitted a letter to Columbiana County Common Pleas Court Judge Scott Washam. LISBON — An East Liverpool man accused of trafficking and possessing cocaine as a major drug offender pleaded guilty as charged, but with the prosecution agreeing to dismiss the major drug offender specification. James Keys Jr., 38, College Street, entered the guilty pleas to first-degree felonies of trafficking in cocaine and possession of cocaine, each with two specifications for forfeiture of money in a drug case.
