Grand Jury
LISBON — Mary Peterson, 57, Darlington Road, Negley, was served recently with a secret indictment issued by the Columbiana County Grand Jury for assault, a fourth-degree felony, for causing harm or attempting to cause harm to a man on March 16, 2025.
Municipal
LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, cases against Lillian Simms, 24, Prospect Street, Salem, were bound over to the county grand jury for fourth-degree felony burglary and misdemeanor disorderly conduct for allegedly entering her former apartment the day after she was evicted by going through a back window on Aug. 19 in Perry Township. She also was accused of yelling, breaking and throwing items.
A preliminary hearing was set Sept. 11 for Tyrone M. Davis, 52, 15th Street, Wellsville, charged with third-degree felony domestic violence for allegedly slapping a woman across the face on Aug. 12 in Wellsville, with two previous domestic violence convictions on his record.
Weston Meek, 55, Fredricktown Clarkson Road, Negley, was sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 176 days suspended and credit for four days served for aggravated menacing and obstructing official business. He was ordered to complete 50 hours community service. On May 20, 2024 in Negley, he threatened to kill a neighbor’s family while children were playing outside. On June 22, 2023 in Negley, he was in possession of a firearm and was prohibited from having one due to a protection order against him, then was uncooperative and ran away from deputies.
Crystal Olsen, 50, Butler Grange Road, Salem, was fined $400 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 89 days suspended and credit for one day served for domestic violence and aggravated menacing. She was ordered to complete 20 hours community service. On Aug. 16 in Butler Township, Olsen threatened to cut a man with scissors and assault him.
Calvin Shepard, 29, state Route 558, Leetonia, was fined $200 and given a suspended 30-day jail term for disorderly conduct amended from domestic violence. He was ordered to complete 40 hours community service and to have no contact with the victim. Shepard was accused of causing or attempting to cause physical harm to a family or household member by shoving the car door on the victim’s right hand on May 10 in Leetonia.
A pretrial was set Nov. 13 for Annabelle Randolph, 22, Cameron Road, Wellsville, charged with domestic violence for allegedly throwing an object at a man, causing him to fall into a dresser and strike his shoulder during a domestic on Aug. 22 in Madison Township.
A pretrial was set Sept. 15 for Ezekiel Harper, 23, Alliance, charged with receiving stolen property and aggravated menacing for allegedly sending threatening messages to a woman through social media that he was going to shoot her house up on Aug. 1 in Perry Township. He was also accused of possessing stolen property.
A pretrial was set Nov. 18 for Anthony John Fende, 38, Youngstown, charged with engaging in prostitution, possessing criminal tools, drug paraphernalia and OVI first offense for allegedly responding to an undercover ad on a known prostitution website and arranging for sexual activity with a woman in exchange for money and also offering narcotics, traveling to East Palestine on Aug. 22 for the meeting with the phone used to make the arrangements in his possession, along with a crack cocaine pipe.
A pretrial was set Nov. 17 for Gary Eichler III, 25, Salem Grange Road, Salem, charged with weapons while intoxicated, illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia, OVI first offense, OVI breath first offense and marked lanes. Eichler was accused of allegedly having two loaded firearms in the vehicle while he was allegedly impaired and also possessing a small round container with a white powder like substance and a rolled-up dollar bill during a traffic stop on Aug. 24 in Perry Township.
A pretrial was set Nov. 4 for Cheyenne Clark, 31, Trinity Church Road, Lisbon, charged with telecommunications harassment for allegedly posting 20 pictures of another woman wearing only lingerie on her social media page and making a comment that if anyone knows her to tell the victim to quit sending her nudes, according to an affidavit.
A pretrial was set Nov. 6 for Ariel Durham, 36, state Route 45, Lisbon, charged with criminal mischief for allegedly throwing a polar pop on another woman’s Jeep window, causing her to be unable to see on Aug. 23 in Lisbon.
Mincie Fluharty, 38, Salem Alliance Road, Damascus, was fined $1,075 and sentenced to 180 days in the county jail, with 134 days suspended, leaving a balance of 10 days to serve in jail and 36 days to serve in electronically monitored house arrest for operating a vehicle impaired second offense merged with OVI refusal second offense. She was also ordered to serve an additional 10 days in jail for violating her probation for a 2023 OVI case, bringing the total jail term she must serve to 20 days plus the 36 days electronically monitored house arrest. Her driver’s license was suspended for two years and she was ordered to complete 40 hours community service.
Thomas Hilty, 40, Niles, was fined $1,075 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 159 days suspended and credit for 21 days served for OVI, marked lanes and two counts of driving under suspension. His driver’s license was suspended for one year.
Paul E. Brown, 76, North Pearl Street, Columbiana, was fined $905 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 87 days suspended and credit for three days served in a driver intervention program for OVI and a turn signal violation. His driver’s license was suspended for one year, with driving privileges granted.
Mark Thomas, 43, Harding Avenue, Salem, was fined $400 for two counts of driving under suspension and no license.
A pretrial was set Nov. 4 for Gwendolyn Glista, 62, Beechwood Road, Columbiana, charged with OVI first offense, OVI breath first offense, and reasonable control
