LISBON — A Leetonia woman accused of acting as the lookout in a license plates theft in 2020 was ordered to prison for 11 months after violating the terms of her probation.
Bethany K. Devine, 33, High Street, appeared recently in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court for a probation violation hearing. Her community control was dishonorably terminated and she was resentenced, this time to prison.
She received credit for 240 days already served in jail. She had entered a guilty plea previously to the fifth-degree felony charge of complicity in the commission of an offense for acting as the lookout for an accomplice who stole the license plates off of a vehicle on June 27, 2020 in the Salem Regional Medical Center parking lot.
Grand Jury
LISBON — Several defendants were served Wednesday with secret indictments issued by the Columbiana County Grand Jury, including:
— David Glenn Mercer, also known as John Wentz and Tracy Gleason, 55, Alliance, failure to verify address, a third-degree felony, for allegedly failing to verify his current address on Dec.12, 2021 as required as a registered sex offender.
— Katrina Smith, 31, Ravine Street, East Liverpool, aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, for allegedly possessing methamphetamine on June 16, 2024.
— Deandre Jenkins, 29, Canton, possession of cocaine, a fifth-degree felony, for allegedly possessing cocaine on Jan. 14, 2023.
— Sarah Graham, 22, last known address Pinewood Drive, New Waterford, three counts of aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, from two separate indictments, along with a specification for forfeiture of money from a drug case, for allegedly possessing $64 and methamphetamine on June 7, 2023, and methamphetamine on June 8, 2023 and Oct. 7, 2022.

LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a preliminary/pretrial hearing was set Dec. 16 for Bud Nelson Hull, 45, West Ninth Street, East Liverpool, charged with fourth-degree felony assault and misdemeanors of obstructing official business and menacing for allegedly threatening staff at Carriage Hill apartments in St. Clair Township with a handheld taser, then fleeing the scene on foot on Dec. 11. Police found him and he again fled before being taken into custody. Once at the jail, he was very uncooperative and kicked the police detective who was standing behind him in the leg.
A preliminary hearing was set Jan. 23 for Kevin Bacher Jr., 37, East State Street, Salem, charged with fifth-degree felony domestic violence for allegedly grabbing a woman by the neck with both hands and lifted her off of the ground on Oct. 31 in Salem.
A status conference was set for March 10 and a court trial was set for March 17 for Colton Lee Wade, 39, Marcrum Street, East Liverpool, charged with assault and menacing for allegedly removing his chewing tobacco from his mouth and throwing it at a man, hitting him in the face with it and threatening to kill him on Aug. 27 in East Liverpool.
Sentencing was set Jan. 6 for John Todd McIntosh, 46, Spruceale Road, East Liverpool, who entered a guilty plea to domestic violence. McIntosh was accused of spitting on a woman and keeping her awake by playing loud music and continuing to argue with her during a domestic Dec. 12 in St. Clair Township. Police had already been to the residence once for an argument and then had to return.
A pretrial was set Feb. 13 for Chad Sandreth, 53, Densmore Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with domestic violence for allegedly slapping a woman in the face before being forced to leave on Aug. 18 in East Liverpool.
A pretrial was set March 20 for Jeremy M. Hodgekin, 47, Courtney Road, Alliance, charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools for allegedly requesting sexual conduct from an undercover agent for an agreed upon price of $120, then driving to Salem on Dec. 10 for the meeting with the phone used to make the arrangements in his possession.
Joshua Gallimore, 36, East Liverpool Road, Lisbon, was fined $400 and sentenced to 75 days in jail, with credit for 17 days served, leaving a balance of 58 days to serve in jail for violating a protection order, theft, disorderly conduct. He was also fined $250 for two counts driving under suspension and expired tag. Gallimore was accused of going on the property of a protected person on Oct. 15 in Madison Township where he was prohibited from going due to a protection order issued earlier this year.
On Aug. 19 during a traffic stop, he was accused of possessing a hypodermic needle. On July 22, he attempted to conceal two items valued at $8.25 and take them without paying for them at Dollar General in East Liverpool where he appeared under the influence of a narcotic.
A pretrial was set Dec. 19 for David Mercer, 55, Alliance, charged with falsification for allegedly lying about his current address when he signed his sex offender registration form on Sept. 13, 2021.
Ira Lewis Pierce, 37, Wilbert Avenue, East Liverpool, received no fine or court costs for theft for taking a $4.98 pack of diapers from an East Liverpool property on June 24.
A charge of maximum permissible height of weeds was dismissed against Adolph Johnson and Son Co., North Lima, regarding high grass and weeds at an East Liverpool property in August 2024. Court records indicated the issue had been remediated.
Timothy Gibbs, 36, College Street, East Liverpool, was fined $200 and sentenced to 17 days in jail, with credit for 17 days served, for drug paraphernalia, open container and disorderly conduct. He was accused of drinking an alcoholic beverage in an open container on a public sidewalk while walking on St. Clair Avenue, East Liverpool on Oct. 29. He also possessed a digital scale with white residue and several suspected drugs.
A pretrial was set March 27 for Anna Mayle, 32, West Perry Street, Salem, charged with operating a vehicle impaired first offense, OVI breath first offense and a headlights violation.
Samantha Dicello, 36, West Main Street, East Palestine, was fined $425 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 87 days suspended and credit for three days served in a driver intervention program, for OVI and failure to control. An additional OVI and a seat belt violation were dismissed. Her driver’s license was suspended for one year, with driving privileges granted, and she was ordered to complete 20 hours community service.
A pretrial was set Feb. 13 for David Copestick Jr., 50, Sanford Street, East Liverpool, charged with OVI first offense and improper backing.
A pretrial was set Feb. 13 for Alysia Hall, 34, Blakely Street, East Liverpool, charged with OVI first offense and restricted tinted glass.
A pretrial was set March 20 for Logan Ward, 23, Alliance, charged with driving under suspension.
Jared Markotan, 46, North Jackson, was fined $150 for lighted lights amended from speeding.
Christin Bacorn, 34, Canal Street, Hanoverton, was fined $150 for speeding-school zone.
Brittini Duris, 33, Pauls Lane, East Liverpool, was fined $50 for unauthorized plate, with a license forfeiture charge dismissed.
