LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, cases against Christy Lynn Dawson, 45, Holliday Street, East Liverpool, were bound over to the county grand jury for second-degree felony strangulation and misdemeanor domestic violence for allegedly placing her hands around a male’s neck and applying pressure, causing him to have trouble breathing on June 30 in East Liverpool.

Andrew Nutt, 36, Albright Street, Columbiana, was fined $250 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 74 days suspended and credit for 16 days served for domestic violence. He was ordered to complete 20 hours community service and to stay away from the victim. Nutt was accused of throwing a space heater at another man during a domestic on June 25 in Columbiana, causing multiple ceiling tiles to fall to the ground.

A pretrial was set Oct. 10 for Victoria Lynn Allen, 62, Canton, charged with soliciting and possessing criminal tools for allegedly posting an ad on a known website for the solicitation of prostitution offering sexual conduct and agreeing to sexual conduct with an undercover agent for $300. Allen then allegedly drove to Salem for the meeting on June 21 and had the phone used to make the arrangements in her possession.

A pretrial was set Sept. 17 for Malik Merchant, 25, Purinton Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with making false alarms for allegedly making up a story about being robbed at gunpoint at the PNC Bank ATM on July 5 by a man who he claimed also punched him in St. Clair Township. After further questioning, he admitted he made everything up, according to an affidavit filed by police.

Edward Pittman, 41, Granite Street, Salem, was fined $150 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 60 days suspended and credit for 12 days served, leaving a balance of 18 days to serve, for one count of theft. He received no fine for three additional counts of theft. He was ordered to complete 40 hours community service and to stay away from the victim. On May 10, he was accused of taking multiple items from a woman’s garage where he was staying in Salem, including a grinder, with the items pawned off at Cashland. Pittman also was fined $295 and sentenced to 10 days in jail, with credit for 10 days served, for driving under suspension and failure to control.

Nicholas Faulk, 34, Myrtle Beach, S.C., was fined $350 and sentenced to 15 days in jail, with credit for one day served, leaving a balance of 14 days still to serve, for falsification and no license. Faulk was accused of providing false identifying information to St. Clair Township Police during a traffic stop on July 11.

Mason Jones, 32, Ohio Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $250 and sentenced to 30 days in jail, with credit for two days served, leaving 28 days still to serve in jail, for resisting arrest for pulling away from officers and fleeing on foot before being taken into custody for an active warrant on July 10 in East Liverpool.

A pretrial was set Oct. 10 for David Scott Lucas, 60, Oak Street, East Liverpool, charged with criminal damaging for allegedly cutting copper lines to a central air unit on Dresden Avenue, East Liverpool on June 28.

A pretrial was set Sept. 23 for Alexandria Smith, 29, East Cleveland, charged with operating a vehicle impaired, first offense, and marked lanes.

A pretrial was set Aug. 12 for Serena Edgerton, 21, Canfield, charged with OVI first offense, marked lanes and OVI above .238 urine first offense.

A pretrial was set Sept. 24 for Christopher Dorsey, 43, Erie Street, East Liverpool, charged with driving under suspension and use of unauthorized plate.

A pretrial was set Oct. 10 for Steven McCracken, 45, Berlin Center, charged with physical control and physical control prohibited.

A pretrial was set Sept. 23 for Michael Sparks, 45, Bears Den Road, Leetonia, charged with failure to use turn signal-minor accident.

A pretrial was set Sept. 23 for Tyler Jamison, 35, Midland, Pa., charged with driving under suspension and failure to use turn signal-minor accident.

Whitney Almy, 34, Dunn Road, East Liverpool, was fined $250 for driving under suspension and loud exhaust.

Kevin Yuhas, 55, Poland, was fined $200 for driving under suspension and improper plate.

Dillon Shipley, 20, Secrest Road, Salem, was fined $50 for driving under suspension.

Cagney Springer, 35, Pennsylvania Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $150 for expired license.

Leo Elser, 55, Youngstown, was fined $50 for improper backing.

Nicole Crider, 30, Southeast Boulevard, Salem, was fined $100 for driving under suspension.
