LISBON — An East Liverpool man accused of causing harm to a child last year pleaded guilty recently in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court to third-degree felony endangering children.

Michael Conzett, 27, Wilbert Avenue, will face sentencing on Sept. 17.

A charge of assault will be dismissed.

The indictment alleged that he created a risk of harm or safety to a then 3-year-old child by violating a duty of care, protection and support on March 28, 2023.

Also in Common Pleas Court:

— Angela Walsh, 43, LaCroft Avenue, East Liverpool, pleaded guilty to fifth-degree felonies of complicity in the commission of an offense and possessing criminal tools for aiding and abetting another person in the commission of breaking and entering by entering an unoccupied residence on Hammond School Road, Madison Township, on Oct. 7, 2023. She was caught on a security camera on the private property with a hammer in her possession.

— Jason Ryhal, 40, Jimtown Road, East Palestine, was placed under community control for two years during sentencing for fourth-degree felony domestic violence and fifth-degree felony strangulation. He was ordered to have no contact with the victim. Ryhal was accused of slamming a woman to the ground and slamming her head off of the floor while on the ground, then strangling her on Sept. 15, 2023 in East Liverpool.

— Tanika Smith, 44, Wyoming Avenue, East Liverpool, was ordered to spend 300 days in the county jail, with credit for 231 days served, leaving a balance of 69 days still to serve in the county jail for violating her probation for third-degree felony domestic violence, fifth-degree harassment with a bodily substance and misdemeanors of endangering children and resisting arrest. Smith resisted arrest and spit on an officer after East Liverpool police officers were called to the Wyoming Avenue residence for a domestic on Nov. 5, 2022.

— Bresha A. Meadows, 22, Warren, was placed under community control for three years after pleading guilty to fourth-degree felony promoting prostitution. Charges of fifth-degree felony possessing criminal tools and misdemeanor soliciting were dismissed. She was accused of posting a sex for hire ad on a known prostitution website and arranging to have sexual activity with an undercover agent in exchange for money, also offering her friend for sexual services, then traveling to East Palestine on Dec. 26 for the meeting.

— Cody Johns, 28, Hubbard, pleaded guilty to a lesser offense of attempted aggravated possession of drugs, a fourth-degree felony, and possession of fentanyl-related compound, a fifth-degree felony, with sentencing set for Sept. 12. Charges of aggravated trafficking in drugs, drug paraphernalia and possession of drug abuse instruments will be dismissed. The charges stemmed from March 10, 2022 when Johns possessed fentanyl and methamphetamine.
