LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a Lisbon man was accused of using his motorcycle as a weapon after ramming the driver’s side door of a police cruiser with a police officer inside while trying to flee a traffic stop Thursday in Columbiana.
A preliminary/pretrial hearing was set July 2 for Ryan Geho, 30, Mattix Road, Lisbon, charged with first-degree felony felonious assault, third-degree felony failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer and misdemeanor use of unauthorized plate. When Columbiana Police attempted a traffic stop on his motorcycle, Geho allegedly fled at high rates of speed and after ramming the police cruiser and crashing into two parked vehicles, his motorcycle crashed.
A case against Toby Ragsdale, 53, Scio, was bound over to the county grand jury for third-degree felony failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer for fleeing on a motorcycle from St. Clair Township Police attempting a traffic stop on June 16 in St. Clair Township. He wrecked the motorcycle and was taken into custody. Police learned he also had warrants out of another state. A pretrial was set Oct. 18 for Ragsdale for charges of speeding, no valid license, left of center, traffic control devices and reasonable control.
Chad Smith, 50, Weirton, W.Va., was fined $500 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 177 days suspended and credit for three days served, for assault, amended from domestic violence. He was ordered to complete 20 hours community service and to stay away from the victim. On July 31, 2023, Smith was accused of striking another man in the face with his fist and pushing him off of a porch in Madison Township.
A pretrial was set Sept. 19 for Brandy Pinkerton, 38, Eutaw Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with assault for allegedly pepper spraying another woman in the face after starting a fight during a Halloween party on Oct. 28, 2023 in East Liverpool.
Taelor Adam Eckler, 20, Fawcett Apartments, East Liverpool, was fined $800 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 170 days suspended and credit for 10 days served, for underage consumption, aggravated menacing, resisting arrest and menacing. On June 17, Eckler was accused of threatening to cut a woman with a knife and brandishing a knife and showing it to the woman on Moore Street in East Liverpool. When taken into custody, he resisted and had to be taken to the ground and then threatened the health and safety of police officers while being taken into the East Liverpool police station. The underage consumption charge stemmed from an incident in Salem on Oct. 25, 2023 when he admitted he was intoxicated and had been drinking alcohol at a Salem residence while 19 years old.
Nicholas Conway, 43, Morris Road, Lisbon, was ordered to serve 40 days in jail, with credit for 19 days already served, leaving a balance of 21 days still to serve in the county jail for violating his probation for cases from 2019 and 2020 for three counts cruelty to animals, operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs, driving under suspension and failure to display valid sticker.
A status conference was set July 8 and a court trial was set July 11 for Linda Weyand, 57, Chaffin Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with multiple charges from multiple cases, including two counts theft, and single counts of failure to comply, possessing criminal tools, illegal plates, expired license, reckless operation and driving under suspension. On March 2, 2021, Weyand was accused of placing several pieces of merchandise into a large purse and failing to pay for four items totaling $78 at Factory Connection in Calcutta. On July 25, 2022, she allegedly failed to scan and pay for a box of diapers at Dollar General in East Liverpool. On June 15 this year, she allegedly failed to comply with the order of a police office attempting a traffic stop in East Liverpool, continuing to drive at high speeds in a residential area, pursued for 2 miles before stopping.
A pretrial was set Aug. 8 for Dalton McKinnon, 36, Lacroft Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with theft and criminal trespass for allegedly being inside a posted condemned house on Haywood Street, East Liverpool on June 27. He allegedly jumped out the window and fled on foot before being located. On June 2, he allegedly took candy off of the shelves at Nikki’s Market in East Liverpool and placed the items in his pants pockets.
A pretrial was set Sept. 23 for Larry Warner, 64, North Madison Avenue, Salem, charged with receiving stolen property for allegedly trying to sell tire rims belonging to someone else on May 29 in Salem.
Carl Gooding, 42, Putnam Street, East Liverpool, was fined $900 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 140 days suspended and credit for 19 days served, leaving 21 days still to serve, for failure to comply, obstructing official business, criminal damaging, theft, reckless operation, driving under suspension and operating all purpose vehicle on the roadway. He was ordered to complete 40 hours community service and to stay away from a victim. Gooding was accused of failing to stop his ATV for East Liverpool police attempting a traffic stop as part of an investigation into a drug tip on June 7 in East Liverpool. On June 8 in East Liverpool, he fled on foot when he saw police. The theft charge stemmed from him allegedly stealing 105 items totaling $928 from the Calcutta Walmart on April 30. On April 15, he was accused of damaging the door to a home in East Liverpool while attempting to break in.
A pretrial was set Sept. 3 for Amie Prager, 40, Ogden Street, East Liverpool, charged with criminal damaging for allegedly coming inside the East Liverpool Dairy Queen yelling at employees and shoving everything off of the counter on March 28. She was fined $50 for improper/expired registration.
A pretrial was set Sept. 10 for Ryan Pritt, 42, Lisbon Street, East Liverpool, charged with deposit litter, garbage, trash or junk on adjacent proportion alley and sidewalk obstruction for violations in East Liverpool on June 21.
Jeremy Blanchard, 33, Midland, Pa., was fined $350 for furnishing false information and reckless operation, amended from operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs first offense. Charges of marked lanes and no valid license were dismissed.
A pretrial was set Sept. 24 for Heidi Rader, 58, New Brighton, Pa., charged with speeding.
A pretrial was set Sept. 24 for Joshua Brooks, 21, Alliance, charged with driving under suspension and speeding.
A pretrial was set Sept. 9 for Nicholas Rice, 26, Etruria Street, East Liverpool, charged with OVI second offense, expired license and marked lanes.
A pretrial was set Sept. 26 for Fidel Syrianoudis, 30, Canfield, charged with driving under suspension.
A pretrial was set Sept. 10 for Jonah Mitchell, 21, state Route 558, Salem, charged with speeding.
A pretrial was set Sept. 24 for Donte Glover, 38, Warren, charged with improper/prohibited turn.
Thomas Hughes II, 36, state Route 154, Negley, was fined $250 for driving under suspension, unauthorized plate and a turn signal violation.
Raymond Brown, 22, Alliance, was fined $100 for driving under suspension
