LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a case against Brian Pearl, 54, East Clark Street, East Palestine, was bound over to the county grand jury for a charge of fourth-degree felony possession of drugs- fentanyl-related compound, for allegedly being found with a fold containing fentanyl during a traffic stop on Nov 8, 2023 in East Palestine. Pearl was fined $45 for improper registration, stemming from the same incident. Charges of traffic control devices and possession of marijuana were dismissed.
A preliminary hearing and pretrial was set Feb. 20 for Ryan Everett, 39, West 13th Street, Salem, charged with second-degree felony felonious assault, domestic violence, and weapons while intoxicated for allegedly striking a woman in the face and pointing a gun at her in Salem on Feb. 11.
A preliminary hearing was set Feb. 15 for Donald Fiore, 57, Franklin Avenue, Salem, charged with third-degree felony domestic violence for allegedly fighting with a woman and causing physical injuries in Salem on Feb. 9.
John Rensselaer Taylor, 57, Aurora, was fined $750 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 90 days suspended, leaving zero days left to serve, for engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools. On April 30, 2023, in East Palestine, Taylor responded to an undercover ad on a known prostitution website and arranged to engage in sexual conduct with a female in exchange for between $80 and $140, using the cell phone found in his possession to make the arrangements. Taylor was also ordered to perform 20 hours of community service.
Matthew Paul, 66, North Market Street, East Palestine, was fined $150 and sentenced to 30 days in jail, with 29 days suspended and credit for one day served, leaving zero days left to serve, for disorderly conduct for engaging in fighting, threatening harm to persons or property, or in violent or turbulent behavior, despite numerous requests to cease his action on June 18 and 19, 2023. Paul was also ordered to perform 40 hours of community service.
Jamal Jamison, 30, Cadiz, was fined $300 and sentenced to 60 days in jail, with 60 days suspended, leaving zero days left to serve, for possessing criminal tools and soliciting. On Jan. 19, 2023 in Salem, Jamison solicited sexual conduct from an undercover agent in exchange for $125, using the cell phone found in his possession to make the arrangements. Jamison was also ordered to perform 40 hours of community service.
David Joseph Dalpra, 53, Canton, was fined $400 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 90 days suspended, leaving zero days left to serve, for two counts of possessing criminal tools, one of which was amended from engaging in prostitution. On Nov. 10, 2023, Dalpra requested sexual conduct from an undercover agent in exchange for $140, using the cell phone he had in his possession to make the arrangement. Dalpra was also ordered to perform 40 hours of community service.
A pretrial was set April 23 for Paul Young, 35, Wheeling, W.V., charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools for allegedly responding to an undercover ad on a known prostitution website and arranging to have sexual conduct with a female in exchange for $240, using the cell phone found in his possession to make the arrangements, on Feb. 9 in East Palestine.
Orlando Walker, 32, River Side Avenue, Wellsville, was fined $250 and sentenced to one day in jail, with credit for one day served, leaving zero days left to serve, for disorderly conduct for continuing to scream and yell in public outside of a bar in East Liverpool on Feb. 11.
A pretrial was set April 8 for Kayla Clingerman, 37, Youngstown, charged with disorderly conduct for allegedly swinging a vodka bottle at vehicles as they drove by on Feb 10 in Salem.
Keith Pollard, 52, Cleveland, was fined $300 and sentenced to 60 days in jail, with zero days suspended, leaving 60 days left to serve, for two counts of obstructing official business, amended from illegal conveyance of drugs and tampering with evidence. On Feb. 2 during a traffic stop in East Liverpool, Pollard was seen on police video stuffing a bag that contained approximately 30 blue pills into his pants and being discovered with the bag once at the jail.
A pretrial was set Feb. 27 for Treyven Johnson, 23, Bradshaw Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with possessing instruments to ingest after he was found to have a warrant for his arrest during a traffic stop on Feb. 10 in Liverpool Township and was then allegedly found with a glass pipe with residue and burn marks and a “chore boy” filter used to ingest crack cocaine.
A pretrial was set Feb. 20 for Brandice Bettura, 40, Franklin Avenue, Salem, charged with domestic violence for allegedly causing physical harm to a man on Feb. 9 in Salem.
A charge of obstructing justice against Brian Veglia, 32, Ruth Street, East Liverpool, was dismissed without prejudice due to a defective complaint.
Tyler Cushing, 30, Alliance Sebring Road, Alliance, was fined $615 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 160 days suspended, leaving 20 days left to serve, for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs refusal with prior within 20 years, no motorcycle endorsement, and turn signals. Cushing was also ordered to perform 50 hours of community service and his driver’s license was suspended for one year with driving privileges.
Lisa Garwood, 54, Hill Street, Lisbon, was fined $100 and sentenced to two days in jail, with credit for two days served, leaving zero days left to serve, for theft for stealing two bottles of vodka from the East Liverpool Giant Eagle on Jan. 4, 2018.
A pretrial was set May 2 for Clara Richards, 25, Sherman Street, Lisbon, charged with domestic violence for allegedly pushing a man on Feb. 9 in Lisbon.
A court trial was set March 11 for Glenda Haught, 55, Idaho Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with speed after a traffic stop on Oct. 31, 2023 in St. Clair Township.
James Lange, 43, South 15th Street, Sebring, was fined $300 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 180 days suspended, leaving zero days left to serve, for theft. Lange failed to scan and pay for 37 items totaling $147 at the Salem Walmart on Nov. 3, 2023. Lange was also ordered to perform 40 hours of community service.
Christopher Ingram, 41, Blakely Street, East Liverpool, was fined $250 and sentenced to 20 days in jail, with credit for 20 days served, leaving zero days left to serve, for theft from an incident on Jan. 23 where Ingram took three items totaling $744 from the Calcutta Walmart.
Drug court has been set for Feb. 20 for Amanda Fulmer, 35, Newell, W.V., charged with complicity to commit theft for being in the same vehicle with someone who had stolen three items totaling $744 from the Calcutta Walmart on Jan. 23.
A pretrial was set May 6 for Sean Zentner, 58, Canterbury Court, Columbiana, charged with OVI first offense and marked lanes.
Dylan Davis, 27, Main Street, Leetonia, was fined $1,050 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 87 days suspended and credit for three days served after completion of substance abuse treatment at a driver intervention program, leaving zero days left to serve, for OVI, driving under suspension, and turn signal. Davis’ driver’s license was also suspended for one year with driving privileges.
James Myers, 40, 13th Street, Wellsville, was fined $180 for driving under suspension and loud exhaust.
A sentencing hearing was set Feb. 22 for Israel Alonzo, 20, Woodland Avenue, Salem, charged with underage consumption after police responded to a house on Woodland Avenue in Salem on Feb. 9 and allegedly found Alonzo to have a heavy odor of alcohol coming from his person and he told officers he drank four beers.
Daniel Pasco-Windland, 36, South Mechanic Avenue, Alliance, was fined $180 for driving under suspension and tinted glass.
Joseph Ross, 25, Ohio Avenue, Salem, was fined $150 for loud muffler and unauthorized plate.
Curtis Jackson, 41, Washington Street, Lisbon, was fined $180 for driving under suspension and tail lights.
Taylor Horst, was fined $75 for unsafe vehicle, amended from assured clear distance.
