Grand Jury

LISBON — An East Liverpool man accused of selling and possessing drugs was served Monday with a secret indictment issued by the Columbiana County Grand Jury for multiple felonies.

Treyvan Johnson, 23, Smithfield Street, was charged with two counts of fifth-degree felony trafficking in cocaine, two counts of fifth-degree felony aggravated possession of drugs, and single counts of second-degree felony trafficking in fentanyl-related compound, second-degree felony possession of fentanyl-related compound, and fifth-degree felony possession of cocaine, with multiple specifications for forfeiture of money in a drug case.

According to the indictment, Johnson allegedly sold or prepared for sale cocaine in an amount less than 5 grams on Nov 3, 2022 and Nov. 30, 2022, sold or prepared for sale and also possessed fentanyl in an amount equal or exceeding 10 grams, but less than 20 grams on Dec 1, 2022, and possessed cocaine, amphetamine, methamphetamine and $1,484 on Dec. 1, 2022.

Also served with a secret indictment was Michael Chafins, 39, state Route 39, Wellsville, charged with nonsupport of dependents for allegedly failing to pay child support for one child on Oct. 1, 2019. The indictment was issued in 2019, but he was just served on Sunday.
