LISBON — A woman involved in a drug drop-off scheme in the Columbiana County jail parking lot last summer entered a guilty plea recently in county Common Pleas Court.

Billie Thompson, 42, Washington Street, Lisbon, pleaded guilty to third-degree felony illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse onto the grounds of a specified governmental facility, with sentencing set for March 22.

Thompson was accused of dropping off narcotics at the county jail parking lot for a corrections officer to pick up and deliver into the jail on June 10, 2023.

Also in Common Pleas Court:

— Bradley A. Kendall, 56, Ann Arbor, Mich., was placed on probation for three years for a lesser offense of attempted compelling prostitution (originally compelling prostitution) and attempted unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, both fourth-degree felonies. Charges of possession of criminal tools and engaging in prostitution were dismissed. He was also deemed a Tier II sex offender with a requirement to register his address with law enforcement. Kendall traveled to East Palestine on Nov. 1, 2022 after arranging to pay $200 for sex with an adult female and 15-year-old female in response to an online ad posted by a Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force agent.

— Michael Barnhart, 69, and Peggy Barnhart, 69, both of state Route 7, New Waterford, were each placed on probation for three years retroactive to May 2022 to terminate in May 2025 for breaking and entering, a fifth-degree felony. , with sentencing set for Jan. 26. The Barnharts were accused of trespassing in an unoccupied trailer on state Route 7, New Waterford to commit theft on March 7, 2020. They were also ordered to pay restitution jointly in the amount of $1,605 to the estate of Dorothy Kissinger.

— Indya Spann, 23, Commerce Street, Wellsville, was sentenced to 12 months in prison, with credit for 259 days already served, meaning 106 days remain that she has to serve in prison after pleading guilty to third-degree felony illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse onto the grounds of a specified governmental facility and two counts of fifth-degree felony possession of cocaine, along with terms for probation violations for aggravated possession of drugs, possession of drugs, possession of heroin and two counts possession of cocaine. Spann possessed Eutylone, cocaine and heroin on Oct. 2, 2021, cocaine on Oct. 19, 2021, buprenorphine on Nov. 25, 2021, and possessed cocaine and brought drugs into a detention facility on Sept. 21, 2022.
