LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a preliminary/pretrial hearing was set Oct. 30 for James Wilson, 57, Main Street, Wellsville, charged with a third-degree felony of domestic violence and misdemeanor violation of a temporary protection order.

Bond was set at $20,000 cash or surety and he was ordered to have no contact with the victim.

During an argument Aug. 12, he allegedly grabbed a woman by the shoulder and shoved her into the back of a couch and threatened her in Wellsville. He also was accused of violating a protection order on Nov. 29, 2019. A probation violation hearing is also planned Oct. 30 for another charge of violation of a temporary protection order for a violation on June 19, 2019.

Dustin Andric, 40, Foundry Hill Road, Hanoverton, was ordered to serve 75 days in jail, with credit for 13 days served, after violating his probation for charges of assault, criminal damaging, two counts endangering children and domestic violence from three separate 2021 cases. He was also fined $300 for domestic violence and drug paraphernalia for pushing a woman against the wall several times and threatening her on May 26 on St. Jacob-Logtown Road, Lisbon for a 2023 case. He was also fined $1,005 for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs, reckless operation and no seat belt for a 2022 case. His driver’s license was suspended for one year.

Noah Hinkle, 23, Malvern, was fined $300 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 176 days suspended and credit for four day served for two counts of assault for striking two people during a physical altercation in Salineville on July 28.

Kwamaine Williams, 32, Steubenville, was fined $450 and sentenced to three days in jail, with credit for three days served, for obstructing official business, resisting arrest and possessing marijuana from a 2018 case.

Joshua Ochsenbine, 32, Minerva, was fined $920 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 87 days suspended and credit for three days served, for OVI and reasonable control. His driver’s license was suspended for one year and he was ordered to complete 40 hours community service.

A pretrial was set Jan. 30 for Malik Pullie, 26, Commerce Street, Wellsville, charged with drug paraphernalia and driving under suspension for allegedly possessing a pipe and two folds with a powder substance during a traffic stop Oct. 14 in St. Clair Township.

A pretrial was set Jan. 30 for Benny Miley, 34, Cleveland, charged with drug paraphernalia for allegedly possessing a cut straw with powder substance during a traffic stop Oct. 14 in St. Clair Township.

A pretrial was set Jan. 18 for Carla Heru, 44, Akron, charged with drug paraphernalia.

A pretrial was set Jan. 29 for Gina Landers, 22, Canfield, charged with speeding.

Mackenzie McCartney, 22, Vienna, was fined $150 for driving under suspension and speeding.

Jesse Williams, 30, East Third Street, Salem, was bound over to the county grand jury for second-degree felony burglary for allegedly trespassing in the North Main Street, Columbiana home of a woman he knew, defacing art which included her childrens’ handprints by painting over the art and writing “I love you” and defacing the lid to a children’s game, leaving a note for the woman. Williams was suspected of making entry by force between Feb. 16 and 21.

He was also fined $1,500 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 150 days suspended and credit for seven days served, leaving 23 days to serve in jail, for OVI, driving under suspension, assured clear distance and endangering children while operating a vehicle. He was ordered to complete 20 hours community service and his driver’s license was suspended for two years. He was impaired with a 16-year-old juvenile in the vehicle on Oct. 13 in Salem.

A preliminary hearing was set Nov. 6 for Lauren Fegert, 39, Alice Street, East Palestine, charged with fourth-degree felonies of theft and falsification for allegedly providing fictitious and altered hotel receipts to Norfolk Southern four times between April 25 and June 8, along with food and fuel receipts when she was not relocated due to the February train derailment. An affidavit from East Palestine police said fictitious receipts to Best Western in Boardman totaled $15,889, with food and fuel receipts totaling $8,136, for a total of $24,026 in fraudulent funds she received from Norfolk Southern.

Allen Watson, 27, Carolina Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $350 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 100 days suspended and credit for 11 days served, leaving 69 days that have to be served in jail for domestic violence. He also must complete 60 hours of community service. On Oct. 10 in East Liverpool, Watson assaulted a woman, slamming her to the ground, punching the floor near her head, threatening her and dragged her back inside the house through the yard, on the sidewalk and the porch.

James David Jones, 62, Akron, was fined $850 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 60 days suspended, leaving 30 days to serve for misdemeanor obstructing official business, amended from third-degree felony tampering with evidence, and misdemeanors of engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools. He was ordered to complete 20 hours community service and a 12-hour online educational course. Jones requested sexual conduct from an undercover agent in exchange for $280 and drove to Salem for the meeting on Aug. 4. When uniformed officers approached, he allegedly began smashing his phone on the steering wheel of his Jeep.

A domestic violence charge was dismissed against Carol Cline-Policaro, 67, Alice Street, East Palestine, who was accused of striking a relative with a broom handle for allegedly not doing his chores on March 23.

A fifth-degree felony charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle was dismissed by the prosecution against Stephanie Corvin, 27, Salem Alliance Road, Salem, who was fined $950 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 87 days suspended and credit for three days served for OVI first offense and reasonable control. She was ordered to complete 40 hours community service and her driver’s license was suspended for one year. Corvin was accused of taking a car without the owner’s permission and crashing it on July 7 at state Route 9 and Carey Road in Butler Township. The charge was a felony due to the victim being an elderly person.

Homer Linger, 47, Dresden Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $200 and sentenced to five days in jail, with credit for two days served, leaving three days to serve in jail, for theft. Linger stole 20 packs of cigarettes from Bricker’s cafeteria in East Liverpool and fled on foot Oct. 21, located and placed under arrest near the Kent State campus.

Nathaniel Cummings, 22, Enon Valley, Pa., was fined $200 and sentenced to three days in jail, with credit for three days served, for obstructing official business for refusing to provide his name, being uncooperative and refusing to provide the name of who was operating a vehicle recklessly by revving the engine and peeling the tires inside an apartment parking garage in East Palestine on Oct. 9.

A charge of aggravated menacing was dismissed against Aaron Keffer, 36, Youngstown, who was fined $300 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 179 days suspended and credit for one day served, for aggravated trespass, amended from aggravated burglary. He was ordered to complete 40 hours community service and have no contact with the victim. Keffer was accused of entering a residence on Royal Birkdale Drive in Columbiana on Sept. 14 and was seen by the resident with a gun in the waistband of his shorts. She yelled at him to leave and he fled in a vehicle, but was found at Riser Tavern on the Links and taken into custody.

Sentencing was set Nov. 6 for Deborah Jackson, 63, Palissey Street, East Liverpool, who pleaded guilty to theft for failing to scan and pay for 18 items totaling $106 at Calcutta Walmart on Oct. 16.

Angela Craft, 49, Pennsylvania Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $450 for passing bad checks, driving under suspension and no license for writing a $331 check to Andy’s Tires and Auto on a closed account on Sept. 28, 2018,

Kelsey Ewing, 26, Elm Street, Leetonia, was fined $150 for disorderly conduct for getting into a fight with two others during a youth birthday party at the Elm Street address in Leetonia on March 21.

A pretrial was set Jan. 22 for Lisa Buchanan, 54, West Seventh Street, East Liverpool, charged with drug paraphernalia and loud exhaust for allegedly possessing six burnt pipe, a marijuana grinder during a traffic stop Oct. 15 in St. Clair Township.

Robert Zuch, 36, Raley Road, New Waterford, was fined $300 and sentenced to five days in jail for possessing drug abuse instruments and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia. Zuch possessed syringes and a container with residue in a Crown Royal bag during a traffic stop Dec. 25, 2022 in Lisbon.

Brian Fuller, 39, Calcutta Smith Ferry Road, East Liverpool, was fined $150 for failure to apply for license to keep game for selling red eared slider turtles in Rogers on Sept. 24, 2021 without the proper license.

A pretrial was set Jan. 29 for Damien Jones, 21, Stagecoach Road, East Liverpool, charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs first offense, OVI breath first offense and marked lanes.

Gary White Jr., 33, Mound Street, Salem, was fined $955 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 87 days suspended and credit for three days served in a driver intervention program. His driver’s license was suspended for one year and he was ordered to complete 40 hours community service.

A jury trial was set Nov. 1 for Steven Hager, 53, Ohio Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with three counts of failure to pay city income tax for East Liverpool income tax returns from 2017 through 2019.

Tyler Coil, 27, Church Street, Salineville, was fined $875 and sentenced to 30 days in jail, with 27 days suspended and credit for three days in a driver intervention program for physical control. His driver’s license was suspended for one year and he was ordered to complete 20 hours community service.

A pretrial was set Jan. 2 for Kazrick Kossa, 34, Youngstown, charged with wrongful entrustment.

A pretrial was set Jan. 16 for Hope Steed, 25, South Lincoln Avenue, Salem, charged with OVI first offense, OVI breath first offense and speeding.

Keith Curran, 41, Defiance, was fined $925 and sentenced to 30 days in jail, with 27 days suspended and credit for three days served in a driver intervention program for OVI and left of center. His driver’s license was suspended for one year.

Aaron Thompson, 33, Day Road, Lisbon, was fined $875 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 87 days suspended and credit for one day served, leaving two days to serve in jail for OVI. His driver’s license was suspended for one year and he was ordered to complete 20 hours community service.

A pretrial was set Dec. 28 for Sinthia Rodriguez, 27, North Avenue, East Palestine, charged with OVI first offense and traffic control devices.

A pretrial was set Jan. 11 for Zharyia Moore, 26, Canton, charged with OVI first offense, no valid license and marked lanes.

Dominick Lisk, 19, Old Fredericktown Road, East Liverpool, was fined $150 for an equipment violation, amended from reasonable control.

Jillian Mauer, 33, Poland, was fined $250 for speeding.
