LISBON — A Salem man accused of hitting a woman with his vehicle while intoxicated in May on South Lincoln Avenue, Salem pleaded guilty to multiple charges, with sentencing set Dec. 20.

Eric Greathouse, 29, South Lincoln Avenue, appeared recently in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court and entered guilty pleas to fourth-degree felony charges of vehicular assault and domestic violence, along with misdemeanors for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs and driving under suspension.

As part of the plea agreement, a first-degree felony of felonious assault will be dismissed.

The incident occurred May 25 this year when Salem police officers were called for an intoxicated driver in the 300 block of South Lincoln Avenue, finding that a woman had been struck by the alleged intoxicated driver, who also struck a pole before continuing south on Lincoln and then was stopped by police after being seen driving near his residence.

Greathouse pulled his car forward while the victim was standing near another vehicle, pinning her between the bumpers, then turned his vehicle around and struck the utility pole when southbound on Lincoln. He and the victim had resided together and he had a previous domestic violence conviction on his record.

Also in common pleas court:

Albert Bell, 30, Akron, pleaded guilty to breaking and entering, a fifth-degree felony, and receiving stolen property, a fourth-degree felony, with sentencing set for Jan 13. Bell trespassed in an unoccupied structure in Columbiana County on Dec. 28, 2017 and had a 2007 Ford Taurus belonging to Kimberly Pollock in his possession also.

Katie Wadlow, 36, West Fourth Street, Salem, pleaded guilty to two counts aggravated possession of drugs, one with a forfeiture specification, and failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer, all third-degree felonies, and misdemeanors of obstructing official business and driving under suspension. Sentencing was set for Dec. 15. Wadlow fled from police in Salem when they were attempting a traffic stop due to outstanding warrants against her on Feb. 22. Both drug charges, one from the traffic stop and one from Aug. 22, 2021, involved methamphetamine in an amount equal to or exceeding the bulk amount but less than five times the bulk amount.

Carl Gill, 55, Walker, La., pleaded guilty to a fourth-degree felony improper handling firearms in a motor vehicle and misdemeanors of motor vehicle offenses and failure to stop after an accident involving property of another. He was sentenced to 86 days in jail, with credit for 86 days served. The handgun in the case was ordered forfeited. The incident occurred Nov. 17, 2021.

LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a preliminary hearing was set Oct. 31 for David Shaw, 57, Steubenville Pike Road, Lisbon, charged with OVI felony, third-degree, after allegedly falling asleep behind the driver’ wheel of his vehicle at a traffic light in Lisbon Oct. 23. He has seven prior OVI convictions, including two felonies. A pretrial was also set Oct. 31 for misdemeanor counts of OVI refusal with prior within 20 years and driving under suspension.

A pretrial was set Oct. 31 for Tiffany D. Anthony, 23, West Ninth Street, Salem, charged with disorderly conduct for allegedly fighting with her boyfriend outside their home while highly intoxicated.

A pretrial was set Oct. 31 for Camden Hoover, 18, East Ninth Street, Salem, charged with domestic violence, disorderly conduct and underage consumption for allegedly striking his girlfriend during a dispute with her outside their home while highly intoxicated.

Frank Vignoli, 66, state Route 170, East Palestine, was fined $150 for disorderly conduct amended from assault. A charge of criminal mischief was dismissed.

Patrick A. Mahon, 54, North Market Street, East Palestine, was sentenced to 180 days in jail (179 suspended, one credited), fined $600, placed on two years probation and ordered to complete 40 hours community service and general mental health, anger management and substance abuse evaluations for two counts of domestic violence.

Gary Coil III, 20, St. Clair Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $150 for disorderly conduct amended from illegal dumping.

Darrell John Hughart, 54, West Main Street, New Waterford, was sentenced to 60 days in jail (suspended), fined $500, placed on two years probation and ordered to complete 40 hours community service and a general mental health evaluation for two counts of possession of criminal tools, one of which was amended from engaging in prostitution.

Ashley S. Miller, 33, Freeman Avenue, Lisbon, was sentenced to 30 days in jail (29 suspended, one credited), fined $280, placed on two years probation and ordered to complete 50 hours community service and substance abuse evaluation for illegal use/possession of drug paraphernalia and a taillights violation.

Brian S. Gasior, 21, Youngstown, was ordered to serve 14 days of suspended jail time with one day credited for a probation violation in a conviction for theft and assault.

Nicholas Young Frase, 28, Wooster, was sentenced to 30 days in jail (suspended), fined $300, placed on two years probation and ordered to complete 40 hours community service and an anti-prostitution course for engaging in prostitution and possession of criminal tools.

Eric Bell, 51, East Ely Street, Alliance, was fined $150 for no operator’s license.
