One dead, another hospitalized after vehicle crashes into building

SALEM (WKBN) — Police in Salem are at the scene of a crash where a car drove into a building, killing the driver Saturday afternoon. Ohio State Highway Patrol Lisbon Post dispatch said the car crashed into Perry Township Garage on Depot Road sometime before 5 p.m. The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene and the passenger was airlifted to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Youngstown for their injuries. The extent of their injuries is unknown at this time. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
