Lowellville edges United
HANOVERTON -- Lowellville went 6-for-6 from the foul line in the fourth quarter as the Rockets held off United, 58-57, Tuesday.
Lowellville's Cole Bunofsky scored seven of his team-high 14 points in the fourth quarter.
The Rockets improve to 7-3, while the Eagles move to 7-5.
Parker Hydrick topped the Eagles with 18 points and Landon Baker had 17 points and eight rebounds. Alex Birtalan added seven rebounds.
Lowellville won the junior varsity game, 46-33, as Rick Snyder scored eight points. Steffen Jarrett and Nate Miller each had 10 points for United.
United will host Leetonia on Friday.

Martell leaving for Miami
COLUMBUS (AP) -- Quarterback Tate Martell says he is transferring from Ohio State to Miami.
Martell announced on Twitter early Wednesday: "I'm a Hurricane."
Martell had entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal last week and was free to be approached by schools about a potential move.
Martell, who will be a third-year sophomore, sat behind record-setting Buckeyes quarterback Dwayne Haskins Jr. last season. Martell appeared to be the heir apparent when Haskins left early for the NFL draft, but Ohio State lured Georgia transfer Justin Fields to compete for the starting spot.
By heading to Miami, Martell will join former high school teammates Brevin Jordan and Bubba Bolden. Martell posted a picture with his tweet of himself and the two other players from Bishop Gorman in Las Vegas, saying, "right back like we never left… ."
Bolden said last week he was transferring from USC to Miami. Jordan played with the Hurricanes last season.
Ali's name to go on airport
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- Muhammad Ali's Kentucky hometown will honor the late boxer by renaming its airport for him.
The Louisville Regional Airport Authority's board voted Wednesday to change the name to Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport. Ali would have turned 77 Thursday. He died in 2016.
Ali's widow, Lonnie Ali, said in a news release from the board that she is proud of the name change. She said although Ali was a "global citizen," he never forgot his hometown.
Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer cited research showing that Ali's name recognition is greater than Louisville's and said he's organizing a group to work toward celebrating Ali's Louisville ties more broadly.
The airport board said the decision came after a working group studied renaming the airport for more than a year.
