EAST PALESTINE -- Sara Buskirk had 14 points as East Palestine dumped Wellsville 50-23 on Thursday in an Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference game.
East Palestine is 7-2, 5-1 in league play. Joclyn Fristik added 10 points for the Bulldogs.
Wellsville fell to 0-8, 0-6.
Abigail Cline had eight points for the Tigers.
East Palestine won the jayvee game, 35-8. Morgan Rutledge had 12 points for the winners.
East Palestine is at East Liverpool on Dec. 29, while Wellsville is at Oak Glen on Dec. 29.

Columbiana 56, United 28
HANOVERTON--The Columbiana girls basketball team continued its grip on the Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference by taking down United 56-28. Thursday.
The Clippers improve to 6-3 overall and 6-0 in the EOAC. The Eagles fall to 5-4, 4-2.
Kayla Muslovski sparked the Clippers with 26 points and seven steals. Columbiana also got a double-double from Kennedy Fullum, who finished with 12 points and 14 rebounds. Tessa Liggett added 10 points and eight rebounds.
Celeste Hofmeister led the Eagles with nine points.
United won the two-quarter jv game 12-10. Savannah Burton had six points to lead the Eagles.
Both teams are off until Tuesday, January 3 when the Clippers travel to Leetonia and United hosts East Palestine.

LISBON--The Lisbon girls basketball team pulled away from Southern in the second half to pick up a 46-29 victory in Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference action Thursday.
The Blue Devils improve to 6-3 overall and 4-2 in the EOAC. Southern falls to 1-5 in league play.
Maddie Liberati had a big night for the Blue Devils with 17 points, 10 rebounds and four blocks. Izzy Perez added 12 points.
Chloe Smith rounded things out with 10 points. Smith also had six steals.
Riley Felton led Southern with 14 points.
Lisbon won the jv game 41-21. Chloe Davis and Bryanna VanGiesen each scored eight points for Lisbon. Alexia Phillis led Southern with six points.
Lisbon is at Western Reserve next Saturday. Southern is at Heartland next Thursday.

BERLIN CENTER --Dani Vuletich had 16 points but it wasn't enough as McDonald handed Western Reserve its first loss 43-27 on Thursday in a Mahoning Valley Athletic Conference game.
Western Reserve won the jayvee game, 33-24. Emma Heater had 10 points for Western Reserve.

NILES --South Range was tripped up once again as the Raiders fell to Niles 56-37 on Thursday in Northeast 8 play.
Bree Kohler had 10 points for the Raiders.
South Range hosts Salem on Dec. 28 as part of the South Rage Holiday Classic.
Springfield 56, Lowellville 37
NEW MIDDLETOWN--The Springfield girls basketball team took down Lowellville 56-37 Thursday.
Kylee Kosek led the Tigers with 16 points. Ellie Centofanti added 14 points.
Springfield hosts Campbell next Friday.

WATERLOO--The Sebring girls basketball team fell to Waterloo 40-21 Thursday.
Aebi D'Ostroph led the Trojans with eight points. Kylei Jays added seven points, while Devyn Reggi had six points.
Sebring is back in action next Thursday when the Trojans host Campbell.
