MIDDLETON -- A man reportedly got away with some cash after a robbery at the DP Fuels store Thursday.
Cierra Ann Showers, a cashier at DP Fuels, state Route 7, New Waterford, reported to the sheriff's office at 5:05 a.m. Thursday a man robbed her about the time she was opening the store.
The white male came in and asked for a pack of cigarettes, got a BIC lighter from the display on the counter and after Showers rang up the items, he requested $40 from the register.
She told him she was not allowed to do that and he begged her. She again said she could not and he came around the counter, grabbed the cash register drawer, yanked it off the shelf and rushed out to a white or tan SUV.
