Since the mid 1950s, the lights and shrubs of the cross have been a symbol of the cemetery, which has been in need of upgrading for the past several years. Area contractors Protech and Pancake Nursery are involved with the project that should take about one month. Cemetery maintenance supervisor Jason House and his crew will keep the cemetery operating with interments, grass cutting and general upkeep.
