The heavy work
After a long period of on again, off again discussion, mainly because of the funding situation, the Kensington area sanitary sewer project is finally under way. The project is being funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development, sponsored by Columbiana County commissioners. Workers from J.S. Bova Excavating out of Struthers were excavating and putting in pipe and manholes along with other system components at the treatment plant site. Among those on the scene this week were Don Harrison, the utilities superintendent for the country engineer’s office, J.S. Bova project superintendent Matt Morjock and heavy equipment operator Randy Green.
