Turkey shoots on Sundays
CHESTER, W.Va. -- The Chester-Newell Sportsmen's Club will hold turkey shoots on Sundays from Jan. 31 through April 12. Sign-ups start at 9:30 a.m. Shoots begin at 10 a.m. Cost is $3 per shot and $5 for the money shoot or you can do all the shoots for $30. The first shoot on Jan. 31 will be a benefit for 26-year-old veteran Tyler Rawson. All proceeds will go to his medical expenses and care.
Guns show next month
NEW CUMBERLAND, W.Va. -- The Chester-Newell Sportsmen's Club will hold a gun show from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Feb. 21 and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Feb. 22 at the Hancock County Senior Center. Admission is $5. 12 and under are free with adult. Parking is free.
