Following a meeting to discuss the potential of the river flooding, Wellsville Fire Chief Barry Podwel has announced that the floodwall main gate on Wells Avenue at McDonalds will be going up today at 5 p.m. Podwel said the river is expected to crest on Thursday afternoon and he would rather be prepared and not take chances and made the decision to erect the flood wall.
