Third-place stronghold
CANTON -- St. Clairsville junior Casadie DiBetta finished third in the Division II 100-yard breaststroke for the third straight year at the sate swimming meet.
DiBetta finished third (1:02.97) in Wednesday's finals at C.T. Branin Natatorium. She finished behind West Branch state champion Jamyson Robb the past two years.
Each event at the state meet was held as a final with three timed heats this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
DiBetta also was fifth in the 200-yard individual medley (2:08.37), sixth in the 200-yard medley relay (1:02.97) and ninth in the 400-yard freestyle relay (3:40.76).
St. Clairsville finished second in the Division II team standings with 83 points.
