CLUTTER INDUCTED INTO HALL OF FAME CLERMONT, Fla. — Mike Clutter, a 1965 Oak Glen High School graduate and former Beaver Local basketball coach, was recently inducted into the East Ridge High School Hall of Fame in Clermont, Florida. Clutter spent 21 seasons as the Knights head coach and grabbed 267 wins and was also named Coach of the Year seven times. Through 51 years of basketball coaching Clutter retired with 697 wins. Tommy John was known more for surgery than strikeouts

LOS ANGELES — Tommy John, who won 288 games during a 26-year big league career and became the first pitcher to successfully return following groundbreaking elbow surgery that later was named after him, has died. He was 83. He died at his home in Bradenton, Florida, on Saturday night, agent Mike Maguire said Sunday. He had been in hospice care.
