CADIZ — It was a busy week for the Beaver Local Middle School boys track team. The Beavers won the Columbiana County Meet on Wednesday and just missed winning the Buckeye 8 Middle School Meet by 1 1/2 points on Thursday. Beaver Local won five events and placed second in the boys team standings with 109 1/2 points. Harrison Central won with 111 points. East Liverpool was fifth with 72 points. Curtis hit two more home runs — giving her seven in the last three days and nine on the season — and drove in five runs as the Beavers beat Crestview, 17-4, in five innings Thursday. Four teams up a division COLUMBUS — Four area football teams have moved up a division for the 2026 season, which was announced by the Ohio High School Athletic Association on Thursday. Salem is the only area team in Division III, while Crestview is in Division V and East Palestine and Lisbon are in Division VI.
