ST. CLAIRSVILLE — Beaver Local junior Landon Wheatley and Oak Glen junior Orien Bone won individual events at the Ohio Valley Athletic Conference Championship finals on Saturday. Wheatley, the indoor state champion, won the boys high jump by clearing 6-foot-6 at Red Devil Stadium. He repeated as the Columbiana County champion on Thursday. Warriors shine at Clipper

COLUMBIANA — The West Branch Warriors turned the Clipper Invitational green. The West Branch girls were first and the boys second Saturday at the Ward Athletic Complex. West Branch was a runaway winner in the girls meet with 135 points. Canfield was second with 81 points and host Columbiana third with 69 points.
