1 min read
The last weekly racing ever at Good’s Raceway, formerly Deerfield Speedway, attracted 52 cars on Saturday night. Blake Robbins (No. 18s) of North Benton drives by the grandstand. The last feature winners on Saturday night were Logan Lewis of Salem in Mod Lites; Wes Libert of Beaver Falls, Pa., in 270 Micros; Blake Robbins of North Benton in Sportsman Classic Dwarfs; Tyler Turner of Ravenna in Sportsman Modified Dwarfs; Brock VanFossen of Carrollton in Junior Sportsman; Karson Tucke of Canton in Junior Sprints; and AJ Mullet of Millersburg in Flat Track Quads. Dustin Scott of Minerva won the final 200-lap enduro race on Sunday afternoon. The quarter-mile clay oval and nearly 31 acres was sold to Sorgi Investments LLC — which is affiliated with the Hudson-based American Fireworks Company — for $536,000 and will be used for storage. Track owner Jim Good announced Saturday that everything will be liquidated except for the grandstands and the office building. (Photo by Ron Firth)
