HANOVERTON -- United’s boys soccer team came away with a 5-2 win over Columbiana on Monday.
Zach Blake led the winners with two goals. Jude Andrea had a goal and two assists. Liam Jones had two assists, while Gavin Coffee and Marvin Schreiber had single goal tallies. Rocco Mediate had both goals for the Clippers, 6-2. United is 5-2-1 and will host Beaver Local on Thursday. Columbiana hosts Heartland on Wednesday.
UNITED 3, COLUMBIANA 1
COLUMBIANA -- Hailey Chuck and Elli Powers each had one goal and one assist as the United girls soccer team beat Columbiana, 3-1, Monday.
Mary Marhefka scored United’s other goal. Kylie Holmes had an assist.
Cheyenne Chuck made three aves in goal.
CRESTVIEW 1, URSULINE 0
YOUNGSTOWN -- Crestview’s girls soccer team grabbed a 1-0 win over Ursuline thanks to a goal by freshman Chloe Houck on Monday. Junior Shelby Wellman had the assist.
Clarice Harroff got the clean sheet with five saves.
Crestview is 6-3. Ursuline fell to 0-10.
Crestview hosts Champion on Wednesday.
HUBBARD 2, SALEM 1
SALEM -- Hubbard’s girls soccer team took down Salem 2-1 on Monday at Sebo Stadium.
Emily Sinsley scored from about 28 yards out for the Quakers, 5-4.
Hubbard is 6-3-1.
Salem is at Minerva on Thursday.
